THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Earn college credit in just a few weeks during Lone Star College-Montgomery’s winter mini-mester session, which begins December 15.

These three- or four-week classes take place Monday-Friday until January 4 or January 11, depending on the course, and many are even offered online, allowing students to complete coursework from home. Most mini-mester classes are transferrable and cost just a fraction of the tuition at a four-year university. Tuition and fees for a three-credit-hour course total just over $200 for students who reside in the Lone Star College service area.

LSC-Montgomery’s mini-mester offerings include three-week face-to-face courses (BIOL 1322-Nutrition; ENGL 1301-Comp & Rhetoric I; HIST 130- US History to 1877; MATH 1316-Trigonometry; MATH 1342-Statistics; SPCH 1315-Public Speaking) as well as numerous online courses (ARTS 1301-Art Appreciation; BCIS 1305-Business Computer Apps; BUSI 1307-Personal Finance; COSC 1301-Intro to Computers; DRAM 1310-Theatre Appreciation; ECON 2301-Macro-Economics; ECON 2302-Micro-Eonomics; ENGL 1301-Comp & Rhetoric I; ENGL 1302-Comp & Rhetoric II; GOVT 2305-Federal Government; GOVT 2306-Music Appreciation; HIST 1301-US History to 1877; MUSI 1306-Music Appreciation; PSYC 2301-General Psychology; PSYC 2314-Lifespan-Gowth & Dev.; SOCI 1301-Principles of Sociology).

Registration began Monday, November 17, and the last day to register and pay is Friday, December 12. Winter mini-mester classes do fill up quickly, so early registration is recommended.
