THE WOODLANDS, Texas - Esprit International School has exceeded its goal of raising $2,000.00 to help Star of Hope in Houston to provide meals to hungry men, women & children. This is the 2nd year that Esprit families have supported the organization. Esprit raised $2,900 which will provide over 1457 meals. The money raised should qualify for a matching fund offered by local supporters of the charitable organization. Students will have the opportunity to tour the facility when they deliver the funds. Paper “stars” have been hung by students throughout the campus representing the number of meals that will be provided due to their efforts. Donations were raised through parent contributions, allowance donations, and fundraising.

Esprit also has two annual clothing drives, in addition to a toy drive during the holidays, to support the efforts of the Tamina Community Center. Esprit students range from 18 months through 12th grade. The school's focus on Montessori philosophy and International Baccalaureate objectives promotes the development of global learners who also have a sincere interest in serving the local community.

As a college-preparatory school, Esprit’s curriculum follows the McREL standard of learning, meets or exceeds Texas standards, and is AdvancEd/SACS accredited. Esprit is also an affiliate school of the American Montessori Society and is a candidate school for the Primary Years Program of the International Baccalaureate Organization. The IB principals and philosophy can be seen throughout the school.
