THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Earlier this year, husband and wife duo, Adam and C.C. Spry, opened their own fitness center located at 24525 Gosling Road. Open 24 hours a day; 7 days a week, Fit Club 24 strives to tailor programs to each one of their members, offering a wide range of services and gym equipment. The Sprys take great pride in having a locally owned gym that is more personal than the ”big box” gyms, providing great value to customers.

For the Sprys, however, they not only wanted to provide for their customers, but also provide for the community, engaging in many outreach projects since opening in March.

“Being able to give back, we just feel it is really important to help those in need, especially during the holidays,” said C.C. Spry.

Although their fitness center is relatively new, the Sprys have continually served the community in various outreach projects over the years. Before opening Fit Club 24, C.C. and Adam’s first line of business was Spry Trainers, a mobile personal training business for residents of The Woodlands.

“For the past four years, with Spry Trainers, we’ve sponsored Run the Creek at Creekside Forest Elementary School. It’s an opportunity for the kids to get excited about running and fitness, and we think it’s important to promote healthy lifestyle choices,” said C.C. Spry.

Since opening, Fit Club 24 has carried on the tradition of community service. For Halloween, the gym was a drop off point for Operation Gratitude, a candy buy back program where families can donate their unwrapped Halloween candy to send to troops overseas.

“We were able to send over 150 pounds of candy for the military servicemen and women,” said Spry. “It was way more than we expected and we were really happy to do that.”

In November, Fit Club 24 and its members teamed together to adopt several families for Thanksgiving Day, providing a Thanksgiving feast for each family through the Church Project.

The Sprys didn’t stop there. For the Christmas season, Fit Club 24 is holding a toy drive benefiting the Toys for Tots Foundation. Toys for Tots works to collect and distribute toys for children who are less fortunate in the community. Fit Club 24 wants to help put smiles on children this holiday season, and until December 18, they will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for the foundation. Members and non-members alike are encouraged to stop by during office hours at Fit Club 24 to help this wonderful cause.

“During the holiday season, we try to find opportunities to help those that are less fortunate than us. As business owners, we think it’s really important to give back to the community,” said Spry.
