4th Annual Grand Chanukah Celebration and Menorah Lighting set for December 18

THE WOODLANDS, Texas - The community is invited to attend the fourth annual Grand Chanukah Celebration and Menorah Lighting on Thursday, December 18 from 6:00 -7:30 pm at Central Park in Market Street - The Woodlands. Led by Rabbi Mendel Blecher of Chabad of The Woodlands, the nine foot, eight-branched Menorah (traditional candelabrum) will be lit at 6:45 pm. The public is invited to attend this free event.

Local dignitaries will be in attendance. Children’s crafts and entertainment will be featured along with traditional Chanukah food including fried foods like hot latkes (potato pancakes) and doughnuts. Musical performances of Chanukah songs will immediately follow.

In an additional Chanukah event, children are invited to collaboratively build a giant Lego® Menorah on the first eve of Chanukah on Tuesday, December 16 at 4 pm at The Woodlands Children Museum.

Along with the Chanukah festivities, Chabad of The Woodlands will be running a one-week winter camp from December 22-26 for boys and girls, ages 5 - 11. Exciting trips, arts & crafts, cooking class, special activities and daily hot lunch will be provided.
