THE WOODLANDS, Texas - Even playhouses need regular maintenance and repairs.

The popular exhibit at The Woodlands Children’s Museum has seen its fair share of wear and tear – and RE/MAX The Woodlands & Spring has offered to take care of the property.

The real estate company has agreed to sponsor the museum’s playhouse from 2015 to 2017.

“The museum is becoming an increasingly popular destination in The Woodlands,” executive director Angela Colton said. “With higher attendance comes more wear on the exhibits, and replacing and repairing them can be pricey. Last year, we had 86,000 guests.”

She explained the support to the museum will also provide funding to incorporate signage to illustrate early child development and learning opportunities for each exhibit.

“The generous gift from RE/MAX will help us with both the installation of new signs and the upkeep of one of our guests’ favorite places to play in the museum,” Colton said.

The company will be recognized with an acrylic plaque placed on the exhibit.

Danna Furnace-Grimes, director of agent services and relocation for RE/MAX The Woodlands & Spring, said her office is proud to support the museum.

“We’re committed to helping families in the area find a home – and now we’re helping children experience the fun of having a house all their own inside of the museum,” she said.

The Woodlands Children’s Museum, as a nonprofit organization, depends on donations to keep admission prices low and to maintain its various outreach programs.
