THE WOODLANDS, Texas - The staff at The Texas Center for Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry recently went on their annual office retreat. However, it was not the normal get-together that coworkers usually have, instead, the team spent the morning helping others in need.

The staff at TCCID went on their annual office retreat to help others in their community this holiday season

Dr. Guy M. Lewis, DDS, of Texas Center for Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry, and his team of dental professionals, are well known for providing high-quality dental care. They strive to make each patient’s visit an enjoyable one, while also creating astounding results. Smiles are a part of their daily work, but instead of making patients smile, they put smiles on many children and seniors in the community when they took an office retreat to Walmart to purchase food and toys for the upcoming holiday season.

“We spent the morning buying groceries to feed families for the Thanksgiving holiday, as well as Christmas presents for seniors and children in need,” said Lauryn Hines, the Director of Marketing at TCCID.

The food purchased will go towards feeding families on Thanksgiving Day through Interfaith of The Woodlands’ Adopt-A-Family program. They also teamed together for the children’s toy drive and the Gifts for Seniors program.

“You don't have to look far to find people in need, especially at this time of year,” said Hines. “There are so many people in need of service right in our backyard, and looking for ways to help them instead of focusing on ourselves is what community is all about.”

The staff at The Texas Center for Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry not only enjoyed a day of team building and growing closer together, but also spent their time giving and helping families in the community.

“Changing lives is a huge part of our job description already: we believe that when we change someone's smile, we change their life,” said Hines. “So while a retreat should certainly focus on learning and growing in your given profession, we think the added aspect of community service made it something special that our staff will remember for a long time and that will overflow into the work we do on a daily basis.”

Whether in the office or out, the staff and dental professionals at The Texas Center for Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry are changing lives one smile at a time.
