Greg Shipp recognized by CISD Board of Trustees for selection as ACTE Administrator of the Year

THE WOODLANDS, Texas - The Conroe Independent School District Board of Trustees give special recognition Tuesday night to Mr. Gregory Shipp for his selection as the 2015 Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) Administrator of the Year.

Gregory Shipp, Conroe ISD Career & Technical Education (CTE) Coordinator was announced as the national winner of the 2015 ACTE Administrator of the Year award on November 19, 2014 at the ACTE Awards Banquet in Nashville, TN. The ACTE Administrator of the Year award recognizes CTE administrators, program specialists/coordinators, and other CTE personnel who have made significant contributions toward innovative, unique and effective career and technical programs.

Prior to his role as coordinator, Mr. Shipp was an Agriculture Science teacher, Central Region Coordinator for Counsel Substitute Program for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, a counselor for the Reading to Reduce Recidivism Program in the Windham School System, an Education Specialist at Region VI Education Service Center, Principal at Raven School & Gulf Coast Trades Center, and Vice President of Education for Gulf Coast Trades Center. In addition, he has remained an active volunteer, serving as a member of service clubs and community organizations.
