THE WOODLANDS, Texas - Mike Karlins and Jay Tompkins, CPA’s of Karlins Ramey & Tompkins, LLC, (“KRT”) are pleased to announce the promotion of Matt Odom, CPA to Partner. Matt’s new responsibilities as Partner will be to manage and supervise the audit department, develop new business relationships and promote the well-being of the firm and its employees.

Matt has worked for KRT over 5 years. His professional experience includes supervising and providing financial expertise in a variety of audit and financial reporting engagements for privately held companies. Matt has experience in various industries such as, construction, oilfield service companies, manufacturing and distribution, employee benefit plans, leasing and rental services, non-profit organizations and exploration & drilling.

Matt received his Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Southwestern University and his master’s degree in professional accounting from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Houston Chapter American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a graduate from Leadership Montgomery County (LMC).
