The 2015 Taste of the Town a tasty success
THE WOODLANDS, Texas - On Thursday, January 29, over 6000 community residents and visitors alike attended the 29th annual Taste of the Town at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center. Attendees came hungry, and left happy and full after sampling multiple appetizers, entrees, pastries, desserts and beverages from various restaurants and businesses in The Woodlands area.
Over 100 booths filed the Marriott, with a little something for everyone: Meatballs, steak, gumbo, pasta, cupcakes, sliders, shrimp, Tex-Mex, desserts, and much more. You name it, and it was there.
Just some of the restaurants at the event included:
Babin's Seafood House
Bob's Steak & Chop House
Bonefish Grill Restaurant
Buca di Beppo - The Woodlands
Grotto Restaurant
Nothing Bundt Cakes
The Refuge Bar & Bistro
Brio Tuscan Grille

A booth that seemed to be a popular favorite among the attendees was Bob’s Steak & Chop House. The upscale steakhouse located at 1700 Research Forest Drive was serving Prime Filet Mignon Crustino with horseradish cream sauce. The perfect combination of flavors had every mouth watering.
Also making an appearance was The Refuge Bar & Bistro, serving one of their customer favorites, poblano cheese soup.
“I have been doing Taste of the Town for 19 years,” said Mark Zientek, the owner of The Refuge. It’s great exposure. We are right around the corner so it is perfect for us.”
Other businesses were also present at Taste of the Town including The Lawn Ranger and FOX Travel. CHI St. Luke’s Health-The Woodlands was there serving a mango and avocado tartar, and deconstructed strawberry shortcake.
“We’ve been doing this for 13 years, and we are showcasing the food we actually offer for our patients,” said John Nguyen, Director of Marketing at CHI St. Luke’s Health-The Woodlands.
Complete with delicious food and beverages, live entertainment, a raffle and lots of fun for everyone in attendance, the 2015 Taste of the Town was a success and many look forward to next year’s event.
