No. 1 Lady Highlanders go 4-0 in tournamennt

THE WOODLANDS, Texas - The Woodlands Lady Highlanders proved why they’re currently ranked No. 1 in the state of Texas over the weekend in the 2015 Lady Highlander Invitational Tournament.

The Woodlands (10-0, 1-0) scored a combined 29 runs in their four games to sweep through Cinco Ranch, Liberty, Brazoswood, and Tomball Memorial over the weekend.

Baylor-commit Abby Langkamp started the Lady Highlanders on Thursday going 3-for-3 with two runs, and four RBI’s while

Pitchers Abby Langkamp and Emily Langkamp, combined to go 4-0 in the tournament. Emily Langkamp came off of a no-hitter to continue her dominance, throwing six shutout innings, in which she gave up only two hits in the 6-0 win over Brazoswood,

Kaitlyn Stavinoha went 6-for-9 with three RBI’s in the four games of the tournament.

The Lady Highlanders will resume district play Tuesday, March 3, at 6pm, when they host No. 8 Atascocita at Lady Highlander field.
