MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas - As part of a team building exercise, 26 Entergy employees from facilities ranging from The Woodlands to Louisiana gathered at the Entergy Texas, Inc. facility and participated in a Day of Caring with Montgomery County United Way.

Spending a few hours before jumping into the day to day, employees built a total of 12 bikes that were donated to Montgomery County Youth Services to benefit their Community Outreach Program which serves the homeless youth. Always putting safety first, Entergy also donated helmets to accompany each of the new bicycles.

Integrating some healthy competition into the Days of Caring event, the 26 employees broke into small groups and selected a name to represent each of their teams. At the end of the bike build, a simple vote of hands was taken to decide who had the most creative name. The winning team was awarded a $1000 grant in which they could donate to the charity of their choice. The 2015 winning team "Hell's Angels" selected Montgomery County United Way's Day of Caring program to be the beneficiary of the grant.
