THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Now’s the perfect time to reserve a spot in a summer workshop at The Woodlands Children’s Museum – and make the most of your child’s time off from school.

There are a variety of offerings that explore a range of subjects – from art and chemistry to biology and culture – for ages 4 to 10.

For 4-year olds, try “A Box of Ideas,” which explores the creative process around cardboard boxes or “Crazy about Critters” to learn about animal friends and nature.

Other options include “A Circus Life for Me,” “Insects, Dinosaurs and Mammals,” “Lego Frenzy,” “Princess and Pirate Play,” “Kitchen Chemistry,” and “Stamp Your Art Out.”

Children may also enjoy “Storybook Art,” “To Infinity And Beyond,” “Super Heroes Adventure,” “Wheels, Wings and Whistles,” and “Young at Art.”

For budding artists ages 5 to 8, “ARTrageous Workshops” may be the key to a fun-filled summer. Enroll your child in “Art Around the World,” “Crazy about Cultures,” “Discovering Great Artists,” “Mask Mania,” “Paper Antics,” or “Scientifically ARTrageous.”

Other fun workshops for children ages 5 to 8 include an exploration of what makes the Lone Star state unique in “A Taste of Texas,” a tour of science concepts in “Got Science,” a primer on engineering in “Construction Wizardry,” and an introduction to the bard of yore with “Shakin it up with Shakespeare.”

Children ages 7 to 10 might be interested in one of the “Robotiks Workshops.” Try “E.A.R.L.Y. Robotics,” or “Advanced E.A.R.L.Y. Robotics.” Children ages 5 to 8 may enroll in “Lego Frenzy Meets Righteous Robotiks.”

Sessions are available for morning, noon, or the full day with the “Lunch Bunch” option.

“We’ve created a full line-up of fun and creative educational workshops this summer,” Angela Colton, executive director of The Woodlands Children’s Museum, said. “We look forward to seeing your children get excited about science, art, history and culture.”

Located at 4775 W. Panther Creek Drive, Suite 280, in The Woodlands, 77381, the museum offers educational exhibits, a full calendar of exciting activities and a cool space for creative play for ages 7 and under during the summer.
