Ridgeway, Cavaliers shut down Summer Creek
THE WOODLANDS, Texas - The College Park Cavaliers got another stellar shutout pitching performance from Beau Ridgeway and got four-RBI’s from Roosevelt Henderson en route to a 10-0 district home win over Summer Creek in five innings on Monday night.
College Park (14-2, 3-1) got a combined eight-RBI’s from Nate Fisbeck, Noah Vaughan, Colin Cameron, and Henderson as the Cavaliers were never tested in the contest. Fisbeck and Vaughan continued the 1-2 punch for College Park as they scored six of the 10 Cavalier runs Monday night.
Ridgeway improved to 5-0 as a starter this season, going 4 2/3-innings and allowing just one hit to the 17 batters he faced, while walking two and striking out four.
With the victory and a loss by The Woodlands to Oak Ridge on Monday night, College Park is alone in second place in the District 16-6A standings, just one and a half games back of Oak Ridge.
College Park continues district play this week at Kingwood on Thursday, April 2, at 7pm.
