Retailers and restaurants opening in Hughes Landing

THE WOODLANDS, Texas - Retailers and restaurants are beginning to open in Hughes Landing, the 66-acre mixed-use development overlooking Lake Woodlands. Whole Foods Market®, one of the leading natural and organic grocers, celebrated their Grand Opening on Wednesday, March 18 with executives from Whole Foods Market, The Howard Hughes Corporation (HHC) and its wholly-owned subsidiary, The Woodlands Development Company (TWDC) (top photo, executives from HHC and TWDC), and shoppers. After the opening of Whole Foods Market, executives from The Howard Hughes Corporation and The Woodlands Development Company (middle picture), visited Starbucks, located on the bottom level of One Lakes Edge which also opened on March 18. Kriser’s (bottom photo) providing natural pet products and grooming services, near Whole Foods Market, celebrated its opening on March 28. Pier 1 Imports®, a furniture and home decor retailer, will open in mid-April.

Local Pour, a gastropub with nightly entertainment, is opening today, April 1. Escalante’s Fine Tex-Mex and Tequila, situated in Restaurant Row in Hughes Landing, is set to open in April. Escalante’s features “made from scratch” Tex-Mex cuisine.

Eateries to open in spring/summer 2015 include Del Frisco’s Grille, an 8,000-square-foot restaurant which will offer modern American cuisine and California Pizza Kitchen serving a variety of California-style dishes including hearth-baked pizzas.

Truluck’s is expected to open in the fall of 2015. Truluck’s will offer fresh seafood, including crab from around the globe, flavorful steaks and an expansive wine selection.
