THE WOODLANDS, Texas - Six Conroe ISD campuses were awarded garden grants from Whole Foods Market on Wednesday, March 18, 2015. Whole Kids Foundation, founded by Whole Foods Market, supports schools and inspires families to improve children’s nutrition and wellness.

Superintendent Dr. Don Stockton commented, "We are so excited about the opportunities these grants provide our students. Healthy eating and nutrition are foundational elements to success in school."

The elementary and intermediate campuses benefiting from a $2,000 grant are Bozman Intermediate, Galatas Elementary, Houston Elementary, Oak Ridge Elementary, Snyder Elementary and Tough Elementary. Each campus will use their grant to either plant a new garden or expand an already exisiting garden.

Director of Federal Programs, Compliance and Grants Dr. Pam Zoda said, “The seed of the Whole Kids Foundation School Garden Grant will blossom into many discoveries for the six campuses selected.” She continued, “What an amazing opportunity for the staff, students, and community!”
