THE WOODLANDS, Texas - In remembrance of loved ones who have passed away, the annual “Celebrate Life Butterfly Release” memorial ceremony will be held by The Grief Resource Center at The Woodlands United Methodist Church on Sunday, May 17 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public, and guests are encouraged to “reserve” one or more butterflies for a $10 donation for each butterfly by calling (281) 292-6800 or emailing support@tgrconline.org.

“The butterfly release symbolizes an ancient symbol for the soul representing beauty, serenity, peace and hope,” explains Trish Anderson, executive director of The Grief Resource Center. “The Celebrate Life Butterfly Release ceremony is a wonderful way to treasure the memories of those who have touched our hearts and will never be forgotten.

“This year marks our eleventh anniversary of hosting this very special memorial for our community. It is a beautiful time to take a moment to remember our loved ones who have passed before us, and reinforces our commitment to helping hurting hearts heal.”
