War Eagles storm past Conroe

CONROE, Texas - Oak Ridge got a complete-game one-hit shutout pitching performance from TCU-commit Luken Baker and a team effort at the plate as Oak Ridge stayed undefeated in district play with a 9-0 win over Conroe on Tuesday night.

Oak Ridge (17-1, 8-0) got RBI’s from six different players and broke away from the Conroe with a five-run fifth inning, with RBI’s from Addison Moss, Tyler Hicks, Coby Smith and Travis Richie.

The War Eagles got another masterful pitching performance from Luken Baker, as he went the distance on just 89 pitches, allowing just one hit, with no walks and striking out 14 Tiger batters. Baker also went 2-for-3 at the plate with a solo home run and two walks.

Oak Ridge continues district play on Friday, April 17, at 7pm, when they host Atascocita.
