Cathy Nash named President and CEO of Woodforest National Bank

THE WOODLANDS, Texas - Robert E. Marling, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Woodforest Financial Group, Inc., is pleased to announce the Board of Directors of Woodforest National Bank has named Cathleen (Cathy) Nash as the bank’s President and Chief Executive Officer, effective April 16, 2015.

“Cathy’s leadership abilities and strategic vision will be a great addition to our company as we continue to cultivate the needs of our customers in each of the communities we serve,” said Marling. “In my role as chairman of the bank’s board and CEO of the holding company, I look forward to supporting Cathy as the new president and CEO of our bank.”

Nash brings 30 years of banking experience to Woodforest with a strong and successful background in retail and commercial banking, having most recently served as President and CEO of Citizens Republic Bancorp based in Michigan. Nash is an active voice in the banking industry, and formerly served on the board of directors for the Consumer Bankers Association and as a member of ABA’s American Bankers Council. She and her husband, Macauley, reside in The Woodlands, Texas.
