THE WOODLANDS, Texas - The Lymphatic Education & Research Network (LE&RN) invites you to “Step Up to the Plate” for our Baseball Hit-A-Thon for Lymphedema & Lymphatic Disease on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Alden Bridge Sports Park, The Woodlands, TX. Participants can register to hit by going to http://lymphatic.donorpages.com/HitaThon or email bergeradvertising@gmail.com or lern@LymphaticNetwork.org for opportunities for local businesses to become corporate sponsors for this event.

The Hit-A-Thon for Lymphedema & Lymphatic Diseases will benefit the Lymphatic Education & Research Network (LE&RN). LE&RN is an internationally recognized 501(c) (3) not-for-profit organization whose mission is to fight lymphatic disease and lymphedema through education, research and advocacy. We seek to accelerate the prevention, treatment and cure of the disease while bringing patients and medical professionals together to address the unmet needs surrounding lymphatic disorder.

The organizer of this event is Marc Berger, father of 11 year old Zachary, who suffers from Lymphatic Malformation. Zachary has endured eight surgeries and many rounds of medication. “While he continues to persevere, this not-so-well-known birth defect does not get the attention and funds for research that many diseases get. So we are very pleased to be ‘stepping-up-to-the-plate’ in support of those who suffer from this and many varied versions of lymphatic diseases. We ask that you please join us in this effort!” Marc said.
