THE WOODLANDS, Texas – The Woodlands Children’s Museum invites children to spread their wings and spend a day learning about all things feathered.

Sonny “The Birdman” Carlin from Exotic Wings Productions will bring macaws and other exotic bird species to the stage for three colorful, interactive, child-friendly and entertaining performances.

The shows are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17 at the museum, which is located at 4775 W. Panther Creek Drive, Suite 280 in The Woodlands.

Carlin has spent the past 15 to 20 years training exotic birds to do unique tricks – like ride a unicycle, carry a flag and fly on command. He travels the U.S. performing theatrical shows and making appearances.

“You won’t want to miss a performance by Sonny the Birdman,” Angela Colton, the museum’s executive director, said. “He and his feathered friends put on quite a show. It’s entertaining and educational.”

The performances are included in the cost of admission, which is $5 per person 2 years and older.

The Woodlands Children’s Museum offers a full calendar of exciting activities and a number of outreach programs for the community including Storybook Theatre, Dr. J’s Experimental Science and Lego Time.
