Escape the heat and dive into fun at TWCM

THE WOODLANDS, Texas - The Woodlands Children’s Museum offers a cool sanctuary for those trying to beat the heat and have some summertime fun.

Here are just a few reasons families should spend time this summer at The Woodlands Children’s Museum:


The price is hard to beat. Daily admission is $5 per person and free for children under 2. Active military servicemen and women and their immediate families are always admitted free to The Woodlands Children’s Museum. Museum memberships offer an even better value. With a family membership of $67, two adults and up to four family members at a time, may visit the museum as often as they like for a year. Grandparents get the same deal for only $57. Additional family members can be added for $10 each. The museum also offers Association of Children’s Museums Reciprocal memberships for $125, which grant free admission for up to six family members and reciprocal admission at 200 ACM-member museums nationwide.

The museum is right in the neighborhood. Located at 4775 W. Panther Creek Drive, Suite 280 in The Woodlands, the museum is centrally located for many families on the north side of Houston. The museum is also a short drive for residents of Kingwood, Humble, Spring, Conroe, Willis and Magnolia.

Educational activities abound. Summertime can often mean that children’s minds are less engaged than they are during the stimulating school year. The Woodlands Children’s Museum’s interactive exhibits are designed to spark young minds.

The calendar is packed with activities and programs. The museum has a special activity planned for most days, the cost of which is usually included in the price of admission. Magicians, science demonstrations, story times and Lego explorations are scheduled in addition to a variety of summer workshop for ages 4 to 10 – each offering hands-on activities that foster creative thinking. There’s more time to have more fun. The Woodlands Children’s Museum is open longer hours during the summer – allowing guests to come by seven days a week from Memorial Day through Labor Day. That means more time to enjoy a fun environment that’s full of playtime options. The museum is an indoor playground that builds minds and encourages creativity.
