Melissa Hammond has served 15 of her 17 years in education in Conroe ISD. Prior to serving as assistant principal at Giesinger Elementary the past two years, Melissa taught for 13 years in the District. In her remarks to the Board, Melissa stated how proud she is to be a Conroe ISD graduate and have her three children currently attending school in the District.

Melissa commented, “I am honored to serve the students, parents, staff, and the community as principal of Giesinger Elementary.”

Christina Upshaw is currently in her second year as assistant principal at Houston Elementary. She began her career in education 11 years ago and has been with Conroe ISD since 2010. Christina received her Bachelor of Science, Master of Education, and Educational Leadership certification from Stephen F. Austin State University.

“I am honored and humbled by the opportunity to serve our students, staff, and community, and I am thankful for your confidence and trust. It is truly a blessing and I am excited about the great things we will accomplish together at Sam Houston Elementary,” said Upshaw as she addressed the Board.
