MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas - Due to the recent case of confirmed West Nile in a Harris County resident and the recent rainfall totals, Precinct 3 will begin spraying areas that tested positive for disease carrying mosquitoes in the recent years. This is a precautionary measure to help reduce any threat of West Nile or other diseases carried by mosquitoes. By treating these restricted areas, we will still be able to maintain an effective treatment protocol without reducing the ability of mosquitoes becoming resistant to our pesticide. There have not been any confirmed cases of West Nile in humans or mosquitoes this year in Montgomery County and our Mosquito Abatement team has already started trapping throughout South County. The map below is the first targeted area to be sprayed with others to follow.

The spraying for these targeted areas started on May 28th and will continue through the weekend.

We ask all of the residents to remember to think WET

Wear Repellent

Eliminate Standing Water

Treat water that cannot be eliminated
