Honorary co-chairs announced for Celebration of Excellence Gala

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – The Woodlands Celebration of Excellence is excited to announce Mr. Paul Layne, and his wife Penny, have been selected as the Honorary Co-Chairs for the 2015 gala. Mr. Layne is the Executive Vice President of Master Planned Communities for The Howard Hughes Corporation®.

“We are thrilled that Paul and Penny have agreed to serve as the Honorary Co-Chairs for this event that honors outstanding community volunteers. His leadership is unparalleled, and together with our event committee, this is going to be an incredible evening,” said Dr. Ann Snyder, President and CEO of Interfaith of The Woodlands. Proceeds from the gala benefit Interfaith.

“We are excited to be a part of the Hometown Heroes celebration. This event really brings the community together to recognize and celebrate five Hometown Heroes for their dedication in making The Woodlands the great place that it is today,” shared Paul.

The 2015 Hometown Hero honorees will be inducted into the Hometown Heroes Hall of Fame during the gala which will take place on Saturday, October 3, 2015. The “Fire & Ice” themed event will be held at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center beginning at 6:00 pm.

Nomination forms for the 2015 Hometown Heroes will be available in The Villager newspaper; may be picked up at The Woodlands Information Center, located at 2000 Woodlands Parkway; Interfaith of The Woodlands, located at 4242 Interfaith Way; or online at this link. The deadline for the nomination is Friday, August 7, 2015 by 5:00 pm.
