THE WOODLANDS, Texas – The 13th Annual Fall Home & Garden Show The Woodlands will be held at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center, 1601 Lake Robbins Drive, on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 22 and 23, 2015.

Fall show provides expert advice, latest products for homeowners ready for a change

“We are very excited about the vendors and exhibitors that have signed up for this year’s fall show,” said Tony Wood, president of Texwood Shows Inc., producer of the spring and fall home and garden shows in The Woodlands. “Many of the favorites will return, providing the latest in technical design addressing everything from energy-efficient interior and exterior products to making the most of outdoor living spaces.”

Keeping pace with the growth of technology in interior design, the Hunter Douglas feature exhibit, Fashion in Motion, will showcase the company’s brand-new PowerView Motorization/Automation App. Brian Crandall of Hunter Douglas and Mary Scalli of Simple Elegance will demonstrate the new technology, which allows homeowners to schedule automatic operation or operate window treatments remotely – all from a mobile device. The new PowerView App can help create scenes to balance different lighting and privacy needs throughout the day, and adjust window treatments for temperature, privacy and security from across the room or across the world.

Among the favorites returning for the fall show are: Color Expert Kate Smith, who will be available to answer color-design questions homeowners attending the show may have; Stewart Land Designs will provide outdoor design ideas adaptable to almost any environment; MIB Remodeling will present its Bath Showcase including freestanding tubs, sinks, faucets and showers from Kohler and Delta; the Organic Gardening Stage, which will be manned by professional speakers; and the always-popular Wine & Beer Tasting Area, featuring Cyclers Brewing Craft Beer and red and white varietals from Fall Creek Vineyards as well as a special appearance on Saturday by Denman Moody, author of “The Advanced Oenophile.”

“For those in search of unique local artisans or the freshest ingredients for a homemade meal, Grogan’s Mill Farmers Market will be on hand all day Sunday,” Wood said. “And as this year’s charity partner, representatives of The Woodlands Children’s Museum will join us both days to provide information about the museum and kick-off its holiday fundraising drive.”

Tickets for the Fall Home & Garden Show are $9 for adults, $8 for seniors and children 12 years and younger can attend for free. Free covered parking is available in the parking garage behind the convention center next to the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion at Six Pines and Lake Robbins. After parking take the pedestrian skywalk connected to the 4th floor of the garage that will lead you to the hotel/convention center.
