THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Local restaurateur and founder/managing partner of The Republic Grille, Terry McBurney, decided to literally class up his restaurant for Father’s Day with The Republic Grille’s Inaugural Father’s Day Classic Car Display. The event, which McBurney plans to be an annual event, included several classic automobiles provided by The Woodlands Car Club. Patrons were invited to check out the cars, then come inside for some fine Father’s Day fare.

Father’s Day brought The Woodlands Car Club – and car enthusiasts – to The Republic Grille

“Members of The Woodlands Car Club were happy to support this event as they displayed a variety of beautiful cars in pristine condition for the community to admire,” said Dana Pritchard, president of The Woodlands Car Club. “So many great people and cars came out; everyone there had such a good time.”

“Few things bond fathers and their children like automobiles,” said McBurney. “From Model T Fords to snazzy mid-century convertibles, looking at classic cars was like taking a trip down memory lane, and I was happy to provide this nostalgic tour.” Approximately thirty classic cars in pristine condition were present for the event.

Pritchard was proud to have involved her own father in the event. “My father, Bruce Carter, recently turned 71. To celebrate, we brought out his Corvette Z06 that we had made into a drag car for the track.”

The Woodlands Car Club was founded in March 2001 by a group of local car enthusiasts to create friendships, fellowship, foster relationships with local businesses and the community, and create awareness of local non-profit organizations in Montgomery County. TWCC encourages diversity and welcomes owners of all types of vehicles, from domestics to imports, classics, hot rods, exotics, and more.
