THE WOODLANDS, Texas – The Woodlands Township has been informed that the San Jacinto River Authority (SJRA)-The Woodlands Division will begin Phase I of a sanitary sewer line easement clearing project the week of July 20 and should take approximately 30-45 days. This will allow better access for any future inspections and repairs needed to the infrastructure.

SJRA and its representatives will be conducting the clearing and inspections the weeks of July 20, 2015 through August 28, 2015. The utility easements are located outside of residential properties and may involve the removal of trees and vegetation encroaching upon the easement. Any personal items that are in the utility easement should be removed before July 20. See map below for reference. Notification door hangers will be placed on affected neighbors’ doors prior to the commencement of the project.

Maintaining the sewer infrastructure is an integral component of the wastewater collection system and critical to preventing unnecessary wastewater stoppages or releases.

Easements in Phase II of the project will be cleared in the fall with additional easement clearing to be scheduled over the next few years, funds permitting.
