THE WOODLANDS, Texas - Back in February of 2015, Jordan’s Sweet Shoppe opened up in Creekside Village, making everyone’s childhood dream of having a candy store at their fingertips come true. Located beside Crust Pizza and across the street from Subway, Jordan’s attracts adults and children alike, appealing to everyone’s sweet tooth.

“It’s a great family place,” Owner, Greg Witkop, said. “Parents can bring their kids here and they both have a good time.”

When a customer first walks through the doors, they will find themselves faced with over 1100 different types of candy to choose from. Located at 26400 Kuykendahl Road, Suite a130, there is something for everyone in the store. The shoppe’s best sellers are the triple dipped malt balls and chocolate covered gummy bears from the bulk candy bins. Those bulk bins also include a multitude of candy ranging from gummy dinosaurs to jelly beans to fun flavored taffy. Sugar free candy can be found in those bins too, as well as in bags along the back wall. The store also has a section of candy for those with gluten or nut allergies.

For customers looking to satisfy a chocolate craving, Jordan’s sells truffles that they receive from a company in Portland, Oregon called Moonstruck. This rich and creamy brand comes in both dark and milk chocolate with a variety of flavors hidden within. Just like the store, there is something in that truffle case for everyone. The hand decorated animals that almost look too cute to eat and salted caramels attract the attention of many. And for those 21 and older, there are a variety of truffles with 5% alcohol mixed into the ganache.

With so much to offer, the store pushes its customers to step out of their taste bud comfort zone. Candies with seemingly odd flavors and unique shapes tend to scare off those with a timid pallet, but often become a favorite to those brave enough to try them. Of course, the store has candy that is not so unusual. Popular items such as Kit Kats, Hershey’s Chocolate Bars, and M&M’s are easy to find for customers seeking those recognizable brands. There is also a section dedicated to “vintage” candies. Sweets from the 50’s-90’s can be found together allowing anyone to enjoy candy from decades ago, and bringing back precious childhood memories for some.

The shopping experience is aided by helpful employees and classic music from the 50’s playing over the speakers. The owners of the shop are very friendly and try their best to make each person that walks through their doors feel welcome. They take a lot of pride in their store and it certainly shows.
