The Woodlands Treviso Condos coming to Waterway Square

After several years of research, planning, and focus groups, The Woodlands Development Company announced the first of six condominium projects for The Woodlands Treviso at Waterway Square. To secure financing for a condominium project, at least 50% of the unit must be pre-sold. On the evening of the presentation, there were 40 reservations for units plus reservations were made for both penthouse units. Sounds like the minimum requirement for the lenders will be easily achieved.

Treviso will be a contemporary design featuring amenities that include Miele appliances and Italian Aster Cucine cabinetry in the kitchens. Originally 23 floors, the project is now 24 floors. Each floor will consist of one each of the following units: 1 bedroom / 1.5 baths / study in the northeast corner (floors 2 – 20) 2 bedroom / 2.5 baths / study in northwest corner floors 2 – 20) 2 bedroom / 2.5 baths / library in southeast corner (floor 3 – 20) 3 bedroom / 3.5 baths / study in southwest corner (floors 3 – 20).

The building north of the complex is a 9-story parking garage. The units on the north side do not have windows facing the parking garage; obstructed view not an issue. On the east side of the complex is the 15 story Westin Hotel under construction. To achieve an unobstructed view from the units facing east, you would need to purchase above the 15th floor. The units facing south would have views of the Waterway, Waterway Fountain, and activity area. These units will probably achieve maximum demand status and premium price levels. The one bedroom units will be facing east with partial views of the Waterway and outdoor restaurants above the Waterway. The ground floor will feature a pool, fitness area, club area.

I understand aerial videos will soon be available to provide unit views from each floor and unit. The Woodlands Development Company has hired a condo/high-rise marketing firm from Houston to market this property. The next project is already announced to be located on East Shore close to the new fire station. Additional project locations are already selected for Town Center, Waterway, and Hughes Landing.
