Memorial Hermann The Woodlands hosting free Baby Fair

THE WOODLANDS, Texas - Memorial Hermann The Woodlands is pleased to announce that the 9th annual Baby Fair for Expectant, New and Experienced Parents is set for Saturday, Aug. 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Hospital’s Atrium Lobby and Conference Center (9250 Pinecroft Drive).

This free, educational event is open to the whole family and is held in recognition of World Breastfeeding Week by the Hospital’s Lactation Center and Perinatal Education department. The 2015 theme for World Breastfeeding Week is “Breastfeeding and Work – Let’s Make It Work!”, bringing further attention to the importance of promoting a workplace environment that is supportive of women who breastfeed and pump at work.

The Memorial Hermann The Woodlands’ Baby Fair for Expectant, New and Experienced also includes: educational booths, vendor booths, demonstrations, breakout education talks, tours of Women’s Memorial Hermann and Children’s Memorial Hermann, and door prize drawings.

Free, 30-minute breakout sessions at the Baby Fair are as follows:


10:30 a.m. “Breastfeeding and Work: Let’s Make it Work” with Debbie DePaul RN, IBCLC

11:30 a.m. “Feeding Mom & Baby” with Brandy Wells MS, RD, LD

12:30 p.m. “New Insurance Coverage for Breast Pumps & Breastfeeding Support” with Sherri Urban RN, IBCLC

1:30 p.m. “Preparing for a New Member of the Family” with Pediatric Hospitalist Physician(s) TBD
