THE WOODLANDS, Texas – The Woodlands LearningRx is hosting a book drive to benefit the Montgomery County Women’s Center.

Bring in your favorite titles to help support a worthy cause.

The brain-training center located at 10857 Kuykendahl Road, Suite 240, will be accepting donations during business hours throughout August – and presenting the books to the women’s center on Sept. 9.

“We are asking for new and gently used books to benefit children at the center,” The Woodlands LearningRx director, Kim Bellini, said. “This is a great local nonprofit and we want to show our support.”

New clients who bring a donation to their scheduled cognitive skills assessment will receive a $25 discount off their testing fee. Assessment testing, along with other evaluations, helps the center determine the appropriate brain-training program for clients of all ages.

“While the test does not diagnose medical or psychological issues, it does help identify weaknesses in brain skills so we can target them with customized brain-training exercises,” Bellini explained.

The Woodlands LearningRx uses this information to determine the best program for each individual.

“If you haven't scheduled an assessment, now is a great time to do it,” Bellini said. “You’ll be helping out a great cause – and taking the first step to build your brain power.”

Located in its new home at 10857 Kuykendahl Road, Suite 240 in The Woodlands, the center offers one-on-one brain-training programs for clients of all ages, including programs that enhance students’ ability to learn, read and succeed in a broad range of academic and work-related challenges, as well as programs for senior citizens who want to stay sharp and improve their quality of life.
