THE WOODLANDS, Texas - On July 27, Interfaith of The Woodlands President and CEO Dr. Ann Snyder announced her candidacy for The Woodlands Township Board of Directors. Snyder will be running for Position 6, a title currently held by Peggy Hausman who recently announced that she will not be seeking re-election.

“I will work absolutely tirelessly to protect the quality of life we enjoy, for every individual and family in The Woodlands,” said Snyder. “This is something I’ve always wanted to do.”

Launched in 1974, Interfaith of The Woodlands is a non-profit organization that provides programs and services to The Woodlands residents and surrounding areas. Interfaith’s mission is based on George P. Mitchell’s vision for committing to make a difference as a community resource. Snyder hopes to carry this mission over to The Woodlands Township Board of Directors

“I think I have a unique perspective working with people of all demographics and economic status, and I believe in giving everyone a say in the governance of our community,” added Snyder.

In addition to her position with Interfaith, Dr. Snyder served for fifteen years on the Conroe Independent School Board; two years as President, and a past Chairman for the Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce.

Election day for the Township Board of Directors is on November 3, but early voting will begin on October 13.
