The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce announces incoming Chairman of The Board

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce announces Keaton McDaniel has been named Chairman of The Chamber’s Board of Directors for the 2015-2016 fiscal year beginning in September. McDaniel will replace Daniel Schroder who served as Chairman for the 2014-2015 term. Chairmen serve one year terms.

"Keaton has such a wealth of experience in The Chamber and The Woodlands. We could not be more fortunate to have him serving as our next Chairman,” says J.J. Hollie, the new President and CEO of The Chamber. “I have worked with Keaton on many occasions and look forward to working with him even more. His knowledge of the organization and his welcoming nature will serve him well during this next year. We are certainly in good hands for the future."

McDaniel has served in The Chamber for 15 years. Currently, he serves as a Board member and Vice President of Committed Volunteers. In 2001 he started the Young Professionals Network and has been the Team Leader for both the Golf Tournament and The Woodlands CrawPHish Festival. He has also served on numerous teams including the Diplomats, Chairman's Ball, and Community Relations Team.

McDaniel has been helping individuals and small businesses accumulate wealth as a Financial Advisor for nearly 20 years. He is with Edward Jones where he is focused on helping individuals develop strategies for their long-term financial goals, education savings, retirement, life insurance, and assisting businesses with retirement plans.

"I am very humbled and excited to be elected as the 2015-2016 Chairman of the Board," Keaton McDaniel.

McDaniel and his wife, Carla, have called The Woodlands home for 16 years. They are very active in the community and have volunteered with many local events and fundraisers. They also enjoy live music, trying new restaurants and supporting Tiny Paws Rescue.

Formed in 1978, The Chamber represents over 2,000 member companies and is frequently ranked as the # 2 Chamber in the Houston region in Houston Business Journal’s Book of Lists. The Chamber was named “Hometown Hero Company” for The Woodlands in 2005. www.woodlandschamber.org.
