CONROE, Texas - Conroe ISD continues to exceed the State and National averages in ACT scores, and the 2015 District composite average is at the highest level in at least twenty years. The District had 1,406 seniors from the 2015 graduating class take the exam.

“We have much to celebrate,” said Dr. Chris Hines, Deputy Superintendent. “We are very proud of our ACT results. These high scores reflect that more students are taking more rigorous curriculum. We commend both our students and teachers.”

The District composite average is 24.1, with the State and National averages being 20.9 and 21.0 respectively. Conroe ISD’s average increased by 0.6 percentage points, while the State and Nation remained the same as last year.

Dr. Curtis Null, Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Education notes, “These results are the product of the hard work of our students and teachers. CISD’s focus on producing students who are prepared for college and postsecondary success contributes to our continued improvement in ACT scores.”
