1st Annual Men's Senior Club Championship at Woodforest Golf Club a success

MONTGOMERY, Texas - The 1st Annual Men's Senior Club Championship was held on Saturday and Sunday. The field of 49 Senior Golfers all played for the opportunity of winning the coveted private parking space for one year, and having their name engraved on the Championship trophy. The winner of the Gross Score Division (and the reserved parking space), is former Men's Club Champion David Ortego. Ortego shot an opening round score of 69 and followed that up on Sunday with a 70 for a two day total of 4 under par 139. Ortego is pictured with Head Golf Professional Jon Baacke being awarded the Inaugural Senior Championship Trophy which will bear his name as the 2015 winner.

In second place in the Gross division was Jay Trahan with a 2 round total of 145. Since Trahan also won the low net division (129 net) 2nd place gross was awarded to Mike Hopson who shot a two day total of 148. Second place net was a scorecard tie breaker won by Ron Proctor over Barry Todd (136 net).
