THE WOODLANDS, Texas - Creative minds will have plenty to explore during the Lego Read and Build at The Woodlands Children’s Museum.

A short story time will be followed by building compatible items using Lego Duplo blocks and accessories. The event is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16.

“The combination of construction play and reading has been shown to increase a child’s physical, cognitive and emotional development,” Angela Colton, executive director of the museum, said. “And it encourages children to use their creativity, imagination and dexterity.”

She invites families to stay and play after the event – and to explore the museum’s wide range of educational exhibits that feature science, art and culture.

The Woodlands Children’s Museum, located at 4775 W. Panther Creek Drive, Suite 280, in The Woodlands, 77381, has a full calendar of exciting activities.

Daily Admission is $5 per person 2 years and older. There is no charge for children under 2. Recommended for ages 7 and under.
