Coffee lovers rejoice, it's National Coffee Day

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Coffee lovers unite, because there's a day where you can come together and celebrate the drink that trumps all drinks - September 29 is National Coffee Day!

Hot or iced, with a shot of espresso or a dash of caramel, black or fully loaded with cream and sugar, coffee holds a special place in many people's hearts.

Whether you love a fresh home brewed pot of coffee or prefer to have a local barista prepare your drink, some of the Woodlands Online team shares a few of our favorite staff picks:

Jessica: Non-fat caramel macchiato from Dosey Doe. "Local coffee with a whole lot of flavor!"

Emily: Cafe Americano with two pumps of hazelnut from Starbucks. "The darker and stronger, the better!"

Cara: Pike Place with two pumps of white mocha from Starbucks. "I need strong coffee that keeps me going with the perfect amount of sweetness!"

Amanda: La Trattoria Tuscano's coffee. "They have an awesome homemade brew every morning with different flavors you can try every day!"

Lane: Christmas blend from Starbucks. "I love all the flavors that are in it without having to add anything extra. Christmas in a cup! But since they only have the Christmas blend two months out of the year, I settle for Donut Shop Vue cups with International Delight Sweet Cream as my second string!"

Shelby: Regular coffee with cream and honey. "I don't like a lot of the syrups, but toasted graham that I tried the other day was good!"

Vicki: Dunkin' Donuts Original Blend. "It tastes heavenly and isn't too strong!"

Janet: Medium roast, black Community Coffee (sometimes Folgers). "I'm a purist."

Billy: Caramel Iced Coffee. "It tastes good and doesn't have too much of the coffee flavor. As a tea drinker and hot cocoa lover, it's a good compromise between the two."

Royce: The Woodlands Blend from HEB

Jimmy: Nitro Cold Brew from District Roasters. "It's brewed local, cold and in a bottle."

Dan: Donut Shop Coffee only. "With jelly filled donuts. No exceptions."
