30th annual Economic Outlook Conference set for Feb. 16

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – With the massive influx of residents, the constant increase in new businesses and corporations opening, and the undeniable increase in infrastructure and road improvements, it cannot be denied that Montgomery County’s economic development is on the rise. To address – and resolve – the issues that accompany such a surge in development, The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce is presenting its 30th annual Economic Outlook Conference on Friday, February 16 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott & Convention Center. The event is presented by The Woodlands Area Economic Outlook Partnership.

The theme of this year’s conference is Grounded in Our Roots – Branching to the Future. The conference is designed to spotlight key economic trends that will shape our community, the nation and the globe. Year after year, this event brings together nationally-recognized speakers, roughly 800 business and community leaders, and corporate sponsors.

Experts from numerous fields will speak at the conference that is designed to increase awareness and promote action in the economic and developmental needs of The Woodlands and its surrounding areas. The keynote speaker will be Greg Brenneman, Chairman, President & CEO of CCMP Capital. Other speakers scheduled to appear include U.S. Congressman Kevin Brady – 8th District of Texas; Gil Staley, Chief Executive Officer, The Woodlands Area Economic Development Partnership; Alex G. Sutton, P.E. and Tim Welbes, Co-Presidents, The Woodlands Development Company / A Division of The Howard Hughes Corporation; and a panel of medical experts to address the booming medical and hospital presence in the area. Several networking opportunities will also be built into the schedule.
