THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The club was very excited to participate in the ‘National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.’ The club created a pink shirt to sell within the club to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Many shirts were sold and have been worn throughout the 30 day period to help support the cause.

The club started the support for this very worthy cause in 2013 making $2,000, improving to $6000 in 2014 and this year we will be donating over $10,000 to the above foundation.

“On behalf of us all at Texas Rush Soccer Club, thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered and supported our Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign. This year we sold a record number of pink shirts and this will allow us to make our largest ever donation to the Susan G. Komen Foundation helping them to continue the fight against Breast Cancer.” Natalie Olivarez, Recreational Administrator / Breast Cancer Awareness Coordinator.

he ECNL is the nation’s premier female youth soccer league. The Texas Rush was invited into the league just 3 years ago, joining eight other Texas programs. This years donation represents 68% growth from last year.

“The players in this program are fantastic, it is very rewarding to see our amazing young women contributing to such a great cause. Our girls have a burning desire to succeed. They’ve scored more goals than any other Houston based ECNL club this year and through fundraising campaigns like this they are scoring big off the field as well.” Nick O’Shea, Director of ECNL.
