THE WOODLANDS, Texas - The Woodlands® Development Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Howard Hughes Corporation® (NYSE: HHC), announced today that The Blue Fish has leased a 5,000-square-foot site for its Japanese and Asian Fusion establishment in Restaurant Row at Hughes Landing®, a 66-acre mixed-use development offering panoramic views of 200-acre Lake Woodlands®. With The Blue Fish marking the seventh dining establishment in Hughes Landing, Restaurant Row is now 100% leased. Construction is underway on The Blue Fish with completion slated for mid-January 2016.

“We are pleased to announce that The Blue Fish will join the exciting lineup at Restaurant Row in Hughes Landing. Now fully leased, Restaurant Row offers a variety of outstanding cuisine in a dynamic, walkable environment,” said Paul Layne, Executive Vice President of Master Planned Communities for The Howard Hughes Corporation. “Visitors and office tenants in Hughes Landing will enjoy dining at these fine restaurants that offer wonderful views of Lake Woodlands.”

California Pizza Kitchen, Del Frisco’s Grille, Escalante’s Fine Tex-Mex & Tequila, Fogo de Chão and Local Pour are now open in Restaurant Row with Truluck’s under development.

Retailers that are now open include Cadence Bank, CUPS Frozen Yogurt, KB Kasuals, Kriser’s Natural Pet, Macaron by Patisse, Pier 1 Imports®, Starbucks®, Venetian Nail Spa, Whole Foods Market® and Willa Boutique.

The Blue Fish, “home of the original Ahi Tower,” offers sushi and sashimi along with other signature dishes at its award-winning restaurants. The eatery began more than 17 years ago with a small site in Dallas. Today, The Blue Fish has multiple locations in several cities. This will mark the debut of The Blue Fish in The Woodlands with two locations in Houston.

“We are very selective when it comes to growth in a new market. Hughes Landing is a beautiful development in a prime location for our brand, so we knew it would be a recipe for success. It’s very exciting to be partnering with Hughes Landing in bringing the very best in sushi to The Woodlands, and we look forward to serving the area,” said Sarah Johnson, Marketing Director and Corporate Office Manager for The Blue Fish.

Dennis Leibovitz with The Retail Connection represented The Blue Fish while Rip Reynolds, Director of Leasing and Commercial Land for The Howard Hughes Corporation, represented The Woodlands Development Company.
