THE WOODLANDS, TX — As we enter the uncertainty of this year’s corporate climate, the savvy business owner is already planning strategies for success in 2016. Registration is open for The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce’s 30th annual Economic Outlook Conference and seats to this event, the largest business conference in the area, are expected to sell at a breakneck pace. While last year’s conference was by far the largest-attended in its three-decade history, Gil Staley, CEO of presenting sponsor, The Woodlands Area Economic Development Partnership (EDP), expects to shatter last year’s record of over 800 attendees.

Industry executives, local politicians, and community business leaders will come together on February 26, at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center, to hear from an eclectic group of experts from various fields. The lineup of twelve speakers includes: U.S. Congressman Kevin Brady, 8th District of Texas; keynote Greg Brenneman, Chairman, President & CEO – CCMP Capital; featured economist Kate Warne, Ph.D., CFA, Principal, Investment Strategist – Edward Jones; and Mick Normington, Business Researcher – Texas Workforce Commission.

Brenneman is one of the leading business turnaround executives in the world. He is the former CEO of Quiznos, Burger King, and PwC Consulting, and is nationally known as “The Turn-Around King.”

Warne interprets market conditions and recommends appropriate long-term investment strategies to aid her firm’s more than 7 million clients. She has appeared on CBS, CNBC, CNN and Canada’s CBC and Business News Network and has been quoted in such major publications as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, the Globe and Mail, Forbes and Fortune magazines.

Additionally, there will be a medical panel featuring presidents and CEOs from the area’s major hospitals.

Grounded in Our Roots - Branching to the Future is the conference’s theme and is intended to bring awareness to the economic and developmental needs of The Woodlands and its surrounding areas to highlight key economic trends that will shape our community, the nation, and the globe in 2016 and years to come.

This event has sold out of seats for the last three years. Find registration forms and additional details at eocthewoodlands.com.
