THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Looking for something fun and inspirational to do in the new year? The Pavilion Partners, the official volunteer organization of The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, is looking for service-minded individuals with a passion for the arts and the community. Partners is hosting two informational meetings at The Pavilion February 17 and March 2. Potential volunteers can attend either the 11 a.m. or 6 p.m. sessions on each day. Each session lasts approximately an hour and a half. Reservations are required. A mini-tour of The Pavilion is included.

“This meeting is a great way to find out more about The Pavilion, its mission and our volunteer program,” said Leslie Williams, volunteer and special events coordinator for The Pavilion. “In addition to volunteering at events, there are a variety of other ways you can get involved with Partners including fundraising, scholarships, membership and more.”

Opportunities as a performing arts event volunteer include manning the Instrument Petting Zoo and arts & crafts booths, ushering and handing out programs at events with the Houston Symphony, Houston Grand Opera and Houston Ballet. Volunteers also help at annual educational outreach programs like Arts Day Out, Musical Scores, Fine Arts Education Day and Children’s Festival. To become a volunteer, you must join Partners. Memberships start at $50 for individuals and $100 for couples.

Launched in 1998, Partners is a dedicated group of volunteers who share the belief that arts should be accessible to all. This dynamic group offers opportunities to volunteer at The Pavilion’s performing arts events and educational outreach programs.

For more information on the meeting or to RSVP, contact Leslie Williams at 281-210-1125 or lwilliams@woodlandscenter.org. For more information on volunteer opportunities with Partners visit www.woodlandscenter.org/partners.
