THE WOODLANDS, Texas — The Woodlands Strykers continue to enhance their 2016 roster with the addition of two outstanding outfielders, sophomore Patrick King and freshman Colton Parrish, from Blinn Junior College. Both King and Parrish are expected to strengthen a talented Strykers team as the 2016 TCL season draws near.

We are excited about his possibilities and what he brings to the table.

Patrick King, a sophomore outfielder from La Vernia, Texas, is looking to have a large impact on the Strykers this season. In King’s first season with Blinn JUCO, King appeared in 52 games racking up 49 hits including three doubles, one homer, 5 RBI’s and scored 3 runs. Currently, King is 4th on the team in RBI's and has an on-base percentage of over .280.

“Patrick possesses a great arm from the outfield and has the competitive make-up that will be a great fit with the Strykers for the summer,” said James Dillard, Strykers Head Coach. “We are excited about his possibilities and what he brings to the table."

Freshman Colton Parrish, also from La Vernia High School, is set to bring his talents to the Woodlands for the Strykers this upcoming season as well. Parrish has played in 8 games this year, tallying 7 hits, scoring 5 runs with a .318 batting average with Blinn.

“Colton is getting some quality innings and in an established program, those are always hard to come by as a freshman,” said Coach James Dillard. “[He] really fits what we were looking for on this team for the upcoming summer. We are excited to have Colton and all the tools he brings with him".

The Strykers will begin their 2016 campaign on Tuesday, May 31st.
