THE WOODLANDS, Texas – For the past four years, the Strykers have brought family fun, great baseball, and a winning attitude to the Woodlands. Now the team wants to bring a future big leaguer to your dinner table!

Our experience as being a host family last year was really fantastic.

The Strykers are currently seeking families to host players for the team’s 2016 season in The Woodlands. Host families provide a place to live for a Strykers player and a nice home cooked meal when the player is not on the road. But being a host family is so much more than just room and board!

Many players and their host families create a bond that lasts well after the player goes back to school. Many players stay in contact with their host families and become a part of the family. "Our experience as being a host family last year was really fantastic,” says host mother Connie Brewer. “We had CJ and he was such a great addition to our family for the summer. We got to be a part of his proposing to his girlfriend and we got to meet his parents and spend time with them. Such a great family.”

The Strykers are also looking for great talent to come sing the National Anthem in front of Strykers fans. A professional musical background is by no means a requirement for our National Anthem vocalists this summer, but talented artists from the Houston area and beyond are lining up for a shot to deliver their rendition of America’s proudest tune.

The Strykers are also filling spots for little league teams to participate in the Field of Dreams, which allows every kid to have their names and position announced with their Stryker counterpart. The kids will join their Stryker player on the field for the National Anthem.

Contact Lyndzie Litchfield at lyndzie@woodlandsstrykers.com or 979-900-0379 if you are interested in any of the above opportunities.

Join the Strykers for affordable family fun baseball this summer; The 2016 season opens May 31st and you can reserve your tickets by calling (702) 205-5709 or visiting www.woodlandsstrykers.com; Follow the Strykers online @wstrykers and on Facebook.
