Storm update from The Woodlands Township

THE WOODLANDS, Texas — The Woodlands Township Fire Department is working diligently in response to the extreme rainfall and flooding in Montgomery County and Harris County.

The county remains on Maximum Readiness meaning that hazardous conditions exist and there is a direct threat to life and property. The Montgomery County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is activated and staffed. For the most up to date information, go to the website linked below.

More than 16 inches of rain has fallen on some parts of the county. That figure will continue to rise as storms move through.

Numerous watches and warnings are in effect and partners should expect to see additional alerts issued throughout the next 24-36 hours.

All offices of The Woodlands Township are closed on Monday, April 18, 2016, as well as the Township Park & Ride, the Waterway Trolley and all recreational amenities. Waste Management garbage service has been pushed by one day for this week.
