Wet ‘n’ Wild SplashTown opens May 7

SPRING, Texas - For more than three decades, Wet ’n’ Wild SplashTown, Southeast Texas’s largest and most affordable water park, has been the place to make summer memories for generations of Houstonians and the May 7, 2016, opening is poised to continue that tradition.

The 80-acre water park is the closet park to Houston and has been newly renovated to offer the best value for family-friendly entertainment with 42 water slides and attractions in addition to new food offerings and a second bar.

“If you haven’t been to Wet ‘n’ Wild SplashTown in the last year, then you are in for a treat,” Rosie Shepard, director of sales and marketing, says. “We have listened to our loyal customers and added more amenities to enhance the overall Wet ‘n’ Wild SplashTown experience and as the Bayou City’s original water park we hope the additions will help encourage everyone to be #WNWSplashtownBound.”

Beginning May 7, Wet ‘n’ Wild SplashTown will be open Friday-Sunday through May 22 with gates opening at 10 a.m. The park will open daily at 10 a.m. starting May 26. For a limited time, Season Pass prices start at $64.99/each for one to three people or $59.99/each for four or more and include a free parking pass, free friend tickets and a free souvenir bottle making it easy and economical to visit the park throughout the summer.

With the most rides and attractions of any water park in Houston, there’s something for all ages. For younger kids, Wet ‘n’ Wild SplashTown offers three areas including Wet ‘n’ Wild Jr., Blue Lagoon Activity Pool and the interactive Tree House. Older kids and adults can experience the unforgettable mega-thrill raft ride Big Kahuna or catch the continuous, perfect wave on FlowRider. Luxury cabanas and a full bar offer relaxation for adults while kids and parents alike can enjoy tasty snacks and treats from 11 restaurants including Marble Slab Creamery.

For the second year, season pass holders are able to add the Season Pass Meal Plan for $69.99, which provides one combo meal per day for each visit to Wet ’n’ Wild SplashTown.
