MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas — Montgomery County Youth Services (MCYS) is the recipient of a ten thousand dollar community grant from The IRONMAN Foundation.

Preceding the recent Woodlands IRONMAN event, a group representing The IRONMAN Foundation visited the MCYS BridgeWay Emergency Shelter and spoke with residents about why they race, the obstacles they overcome to race, played basketball with the youth and shared a meal. They also presented a $10,000.00 community grant to MCYS.

“Our youth especially enjoyed speaking with IRONMAN team members because they need positive role models,” said Michelle O’Rourke, Chief Development Officer for MCYS. “We truly value that members of The IRONMAN Foundation chose to spend time with our kids and are very honored to receive a grant for our work to provide services to families and children.”
