UPDATE: Weather at-a-glance... more rain forecasted for weekend

More rain is forecasted for Saturday, June 4, with an 80 percent chance of rain. The ply-by-play for the day is as follows: Midnight - 11:00 a.m. Scattered thunderstorms
11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. - Thunderstorms
8:00 p.m. - midnight - Scattered thunderstorms

NOTE: A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until Saturday evening 7:00 p.m.

Sunday and Monday between 40-60 percent chance of thunderstorms in the evenings.

The community will have an opportunity to dry out with a ZERO percent chance of rain Tuesday through Thursday.

A slight chance of rain Friday - Sunday at approximately 20-40 percent.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas - Wednesday afternoon through Sunday, rain will be returning to the already-soaked local landscape with two - six inches of rain is forecasted. Street flooding possible like that shown in this recent video

Tuesday - Scattered thunderstorms 9 - 11 p.m.; Heavy thunderstorms 11:00 p.m.

Wednesday - An 80 percent chance of rain is forecasted for mid-day through the evening. Play-by-play account of Wednesday's rain pattern:


Midnight - 2 a.m. Isolated Thunderstorms

8 a.m. - 11 a.m. Scattered Thunderstorms

11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Thunderstorms

5 p.m. - 8 p.m. Scattered Thunderstorms

Thursday through Sunday the chance of rain is consistently high with an 80/60/70/80 percent chance over that period, dropping an estimated 6 inches of rain by the end of the weekend.

The temperature during this timeframe will be in the low- to mid-80s due to the cloud cover, and the humidity will fluctuate between 80 - 95 percent due to the rain.

The National Weather Service confirmed that an EF1 tornado touched down in the Conroe area in the vicinity of Longmire Road west of Conroe Thursday, during the height of the storm. No fatalities or serious injuries were reported.

The intensity of the approaching storm system could produce severe weather. Stay tuned to weather sources and heed warnings. Due to ground saturation, flash flooding could suddenly occur. Do NOT attempt to drive through flooded streets. Turn around, don’t drown.
