THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Texas Rush Soccer Club last week hosted it’s second TOPS (special needs) soccer camp at John Cooper High School gymnasium along with Rush Rhino making a daily appearance. Fifteen (15) players and TOPS’ buddies attended the five day camp on the afternoon playing fun, soccer related activities. The camp was brought to you by the following Bradbury companies (Heating & Air Conditioning, Painting & Bradbury Thornton Plumbing Services). The company is family owned and is located in The Woodlands, TX and service Conroe, Magnolia, Montgomery, Oak Ridge North, Pinehurst, Shenandoah, Spring, Tomball, and all surrounding areas.

“TOPS is a program where volunteers help special needs kids play soccer. The practices are very laid back and are designed for players to have fun. Every player is paired up with at least one buddy who stays with them the whole practice making sure they are safe and having fun. The summer camp is a one week long camp with an hour of soccer per day. This is my first time running the summer camp, although I was involved with it last year. My sister recently stepped down from being the director and I took over. Sophia was the one who started the summer camp just last year. Most of the volunteers are from the John Cooper School which is where the event is held. The summer camp would not be possible without Cooper lending the gym to us for the week. The TOPS summer camp is just a great way to be involved in the community and have fun doing it.” Wesley DeMarco, TOPS Volunteer Director.
