THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Woodlands Strykers were three outs away from upsetting the Cane Cutters but fell short as Acadiana scored two runs in the ninth to edge the Strykers 6-5.

Patrick King led The Woodlands with two hits and Cody Stabb, Josh Russell and Garrett Huff had RBIs to pace the Strykers offense. Liam Roden and Brent Hebert worked three and two-thirds scoreless innings in relief.

The Strykers host a four game homestand starting tomorrow as they take on the Texas Marshals at 7:05pm.
